Architecture Overview

The Local node is built on an immutable ledger that anchors spatial mutations. Write-access is governed by a thermodynamic continuity gate (Φ), requiring active presence to modify the shared spatial state.

Data is stored entirely client-side using Automerge CRDTs and synced via WebRTC data channels, with a minimal signaling API for peer discovery.

PMTiles Vector Data

We serve our base layers statically using the PMTiles v3 protocol. This allows your MapLibre or Mapbox GL JS clients to fetch only the byte ranges they need for the current bounding box.
